Bird Flue, Civil war in Iraq and Winter Olympics are the three main news that covers the newspapers of last few weeks.
Chicken and eggs vanishes from our plate as bird flu invade Asia and Europe. Though not many people die from the disease the possibility of the deadly disease had killed millions of chickens in this two country. It all started from Turkey and now India’s Maharashtra and Pakistan’s Karachi district was also affected last month.
As bird flue has no standard medicines except Tami flu it is hard to combat the disease.But bird flu is caused by the now famous H5N1 virus. This virus can mutate itself and can go to the human being if the unlucky one eats a half boiled , flu infected chicken. Everywhere the chicken is infected not the man. In someplace few human was infected.
But the panic of a pandemic cause the killing of millions of chickens. If we can’t eat them kill them.
What we must do is enforce proper care for the chickens in the poultry. Mainly, they must have a clean house to live. We must completely separate poultry chicken from other birds. Specially the migratory birds. Experts say that they are one of the cause for the spreading of the disease.
World gets yet another civil war fro m Iraq. This time its Shia vs. Sunni.64 people was killed due to a bomb blast on 27th Feb 2006.Though this is common now a days in the post war Iraq.
Winter Olympic is not a popular sport in India. But this time due to the TV coverage in the national channel many people enjoy the fight in the ice. Germany get the first place. After some decades Germany get a top place finish in an Olympic like competition. The Olympic was hosted by Turin, Italy.
Though this three covers the top three spot in worldwide newspapers we must give some consolation prizes to the Pre-Oscar fashion show where the clothes that will cover the bodies of the Oscar nominees was displayed .
